and I couldn't resist popping online real quick and shouting out in my loudest voice,
ROLL TIDE!!!
My favorite line of commentary so far this game has been this one...
"This has been just an old-fashioned, country butt-whipping. And Georgia has provided the butt."
It's 31-0 at halftime!

Who is Tide Chick?
This blog is my way of sharing my love for Alabama football with the rest of the world. (By the way, my love for other sports...NCAA basketball, pro football, really anything that involves competition...will surely show up here from time-to-time as well.) I especially want to showcase a woman's perspective on the topic of sports.
When I'm not obsessing over football, I am enjoying my "day job" as a freelance writer for a variety of newspapers and magazines across the country; I'm also the author of six books on writing and inspirational topics. I have both a bachelor's and master's degree in journalism from the University of Alabama
I live outside Birmingham, Alabama, with my husband and three daughters (each of whom--the daughters, not the husband-- knew how to yell "Roll Tide" before they could form complete sentences!).
